My client stops by for a bracelet repair.  Her husband’s addiction bracelet has broken.  I do the repair and we begin to chat about life.   We chat about the tv show I hope to get the green light on.  She feels my frustration after 8 years of building www.zenjewelz.com and still not achieving my ultimate goals.  She says but you are ZenJen.  If only YOU would get who you are, and she points to the plaque on my desk that reads NEVER NEVER NEVER NEVER give up.  She then puts in a request that I make mala beads.  I tell her that there are so many different collections that I want to make.  Maybe when I get my own tv show I will be inspired to create them all.  I tell her that one of my design ideas is an animal totem jewelry line.  Animals carry messages and it is important to connect to the medicine of the animals that are our totems (animals that show up in our lives)  For example, the turtle being one of mine.  Minutes later out of the corner of my eye I shout out OMG! OMG! With my hand covering my mouth.  She asks what is it?!?!  I am pointing to the floor where there lies my little pet turtle, Thurman.

He climbed out of his tank from the bathroom and made his way to me and was now staring me straight in the face.  I was speechless.  This turtle had to wind his way around walls and doors to get to me.  Go through several rooms.  How could this be? What is the message here? We ran to the little turtle.  I picked him up.  He was covered in dust and dirt from his long journey.   I quickly placed him back in the tank where he belonged. I didn’t know how long he could live without water.  I can’t let my little totem die.  I plopped him back in the tank and he landed upside down on his back.  He was tucked inside of his shell.  He was not moving.  OH NO! I think he’s dead!  “No I’m not” I heard from a far away voice.  “Stop panicking. It’s just my defense mechanism kicking in.  Give me a few minutes to recover.”  My god now the turtle is really speaking to me.  I’m losing my mind.  No I’m not, I’m just very connected to spirit right now.  Animal totem energy confirmed.  Where are the cameras? Where are the cameras was all that was going through my mind at this moment.  My client said if she didn’t witness this with her own 2 eyes she never would have believed it happened.  Off she went and I immediately researched the meaning of turtle medicine although I had read it many times before.

Difficult though it may be, you may already recognize that what is ending is truly for your Higher Good and the Higher Good of others at this time.

1 year ago I left my marriage of 18 years and have been grieving and healing the pain of that relationship.  Looking for new love, feeling new love, letting go of love, loving myself and keeping an open heart no matter the pain that comes along with it.  Being a single mom of 3 teenage boys adjusting to the life of divorced parents.  Just this past week I finally feel at peace within myself after all of the hard work and difficult times that I have been working through.  I am ready for new beginnings alas the turtle finding its way to me after crashing on the floor from his high up tank.
